The Centrum Warenhaus Dresden is a typical example of GDR modernist architecture. The installation "dresden_facade" refers to the facade of this building made of honeycomb-shaped, anodized aluminum elements. The individual objects of the installation consist of shopping bags of relevant well-known shopping chains. Sewn together and variable in size, they quote the shape of the facade. What is inside the department store is carried to the outside in the installation.
